JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP is pledging extensive election coverage on its News-Talk radio stations and TV stations in the 30 days leading up to the NOVEMBER 2nd General election. The "2010 Red, White and Blue Election Initiative" was announced TPODAY by Chairman and CEO STEVEN J. SMITH and includes a pledge of a minimum of five minutes of election coverage in the news every weekday in the month before the election, aired in "high listener times" on radio and in afternoon and late evening newscasts on TV.
"Our stations are committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality coverage of important local news stories. By renewing this initiative we pledge to provide viewers and listeners in our markets with the coverage they expect and need to make informed decisions on Election Day," said SMITH.
Participating in the program are Talk WTMJ-A/MILWAUKEE; Talk KQTH (104.1 THE TRUTH)/TUCSON; Talk KFAQ-A/TULSA; Country KTTS and Talk KSGF-A-F/SPRINGFIELD, MO; and Oldies KLIO-A (TRUE OLDIES 1070) and Classic Country KFTI (CLASSIC COUNTRY 92.3)/WICHITA.
