FOX TV has made official what has been rumored for months -- KARA DIOGUARDI is the latest judge to leave AMERICAN IDOL, following exits by SIMON COWELL and ELLEN DEGENERES.
"I felt like I won the lottery when I joined 'AMERICAN IDOL' two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave IDOL," DIOGUARDI said in a statement.
On FRIDAY (9/3), DIOGUARDIA, who works weekends on CLEAR CHANNEL Adult Hits KBIG (104.3 MY FM)/LOS ANGELES and is WARNER BROS. RECORDS' EVP/Talent Development, confirmed her exit. She said "I felt like I won the lottery when I joined 'American Idol' two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave 'Idol.' I am very proud to have been associated with 'American Idol.' It has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FREMANTLE MEDIA and 19 ENTERTAINMENT, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!"
So who will be on the judging panel? The last original judge, RANDY JACKSON is rumored to be joined by JENNIFER LOPEZ and STEVEN TYLER. When that lineup will be made offical remains unknown.
