ROGERS Sports CJCL-A (THE FAN 590)/TORONTO has reached agreement on a new affiliation deal with ESPN RADIO, reports the TORONTO STAR's CHRIS ZELKOVICH. The FAN dropped the programming over the contract price but has restored the midnight-5a programming seven days a week, effective MONDAY (9/13).
ZELKOVICH also reports that the FAN has signed a new morning host, but that the identity of the new host remains concealed for now. JEFF LUMBY has been filling in on the morning show since the departure of DON LANDRY and GORD STELLICK in JUNE.
