STAR EDUCATIONAL MEDIA NETWORK Christian AC WLAB (STAR 88.3)/FT. WAYNE MD MELISSA MONTANA joined LOWE'S volunteers and women from the community to raise the walls of a new FORT WAYNE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY house TODAY (9/14) as part of HABITAT's WOMEN BUILD program. Volunteers worked with HABITAT partner family, the SOES, to start construction at the site of their new home in FORT WAYNE.
The WOMEN BUILD program, underwritten by LOWE'S, recruits, educates and nurtures women to build and advocate for simple, decent and affordable houses in their communities. FORT WAYNE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY received a $75,000 grant from LOWE'S to build the house. Women volunteers will continue construction of the house through OCTOBER.
