It looks like "AMERICAN IDOL" has made an offer that JENNIFER LOPEZ couldn't refuse. PEOPLE.COM reports that the singer-actress has agreed to be a judge on the popular amateur talent show for $12 million a year.
That salary is being reported as a concession on LOPEZ' part. According to one source, LOPEZ was originally asking for more money, input about her new co-judges and movie and TV development deals. FOX balked, and she publicly took herself out of contention a month ago. Apparently, she had second thoughts and accepted the $12 million deal.
LOPEZ is the second big-name personality to be identified by various sources as new 'IDOL' judges. AEROSMITH singer STEVEN TYLER was reported to have accepted another judge vacancy. Other names rumors to be in contention for the other vacancy are SHANIA TWAIN, HARRY CONNICK JR., ELTON JOHN and CHRIS ISAAK.
FOX has yet to confirm or comment on any new judge.
