As tipped earlier today, CORUS Talk CJOB-A/WINNIPEG and syndicated Talk host CHARLES ADLER is joining QUEBECOR's proposed new SUN TV national Canadian conservative-leaning television news channel for an evening show. The WINNIPEG FREE PRESS reports that ADLER will continue his radio show while adding the TV show to his schedule.

The announcement was made by ADLER and WINNIPEG Mayor SAM KATZ at the WINNIPEG GOLDEYES' CANWEST PARK.  QUEBECOR's VP/Development KORY TENEYCKE, who was scheduled to be present at the announcement, abruptly resigned from the company TODAY, citing concerns over political influence for his decision.  TENEYCKE was a former chief spokesman for Prime Minister STEPHEN HARPER, and opponents of QUEBECOR's plans raised questions of whether TENEYCKE's presence might influence the regulatory process.
