Several New Appointments At FCC's International Bureau

The FCC's International Bureau has announced several new appointments.
In the Office of the Bureau Chief, Assistant Bureau Chief-Management THOMAS SULLIVAN has been named Associate Chief/Chief of Staff; LINDA HALLER SLOAN has been named Associate Bureau Chief after a stint at the WHITE HOUSE Office of Science and Technology Policy; Former Branch Chief and Associate Division Chief of the Satellite Division, and Deputy Division Chief of the Strategic Analysis & Negotiations Division JENNIFER GILSENAN has been appointed Assistant Chief.
Also, Policy Division Associate Division Chief DAVID STRICKLAND has been appointed Assistant Chief; WALT STRACK has been appointed Assistant Chief (Economics); ROBERT SOMERS has been tapped as Outreach Coordinator; Dir./Research in the Strategic Analysis & Negotiations Division IRENE WU has been named Acting Chief Data Officer; Special Counsel to the CFO RICHARD LERNER has been appointed Deputy Chief, Strategic Analysis & Negotiations Division; Deputy Chief of the Consumer Policy Division, Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau JULIE SAULNIER has been named Deputy Chief, Strategic Analysis & Negotiations Division; and Special Counsel ROBERT TANNER has been appointed Assistant Chief, Strategic Analysis & Negotiations Division.
In the Satellite Division, satellite engineer PAUL BLAIS has been appointed Branch Chief, Systems Analysis Branch.
Bureau Chief MINDEL DE LA TORRE said, "I am pleased to announce several additions to my leadership team that we have been building during the past few months. These individuals, including newly appointed Deputy Bureau Chief, TROY TANNER, will add to the strength and expertise of the International Bureau and further our capabilities to support the Chairman and the FCC in promoting global connectivity -- including the spread of broadband and the free flow of data across borders -- through policy initiatives and participation in international fora."
