CMT will present a new film called “PETTY Blue,” which examines the four generations that make up the PETTY family, who is synonymous with NASCAR racing and winning. The film was produced by CMT FILMS and NASCAR MEDIA GROUP and narrated by actor KEVIN COSTNER. It premieres on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8th at 8p (ET) on CMT.
“PETTY Blue” refers to the distinctive color of RICHARD PETTY’s #43 car. The movie begins with the story of LEE PETTY, who raced under the #42 and was the face of NASCAR’s earliest era in 1949. After LEE was injured, his son RICHARD followed in his footsteps driving #43. He became the most-winning driver in NASCAR’s history. RICHARD’s son KYLE continued the family racing legacy with #44, and KYLE’s late son ADAM raced with the #45.
