WXLM Moving To AM, FM Side Becomes WELJ

Will WELJ Simulcast WPLJ?

CITADEL Talk WXLM/MONTAUK, LONG ISLAND-GROTON-NEW LONDON, CT is telling listeners that it will be moving to the 980 AM frequency of sister Spanish Tropical WSUB-A (CALIENTE 980)/GROTON-NEW LONDON in OCTOBER. 

The change is being touted on the station's website and FACEBOOK and TWITTER, where the post read, "WXLM is moving to 980 AM in OCTOBER.  We'll be announcing the date on-air, online, on TWITTER and on FACEBOOK soon."  

Meanwhile, WSUB has changed its call letters to WXLM-A and the calls of 104.7 FM are now WELJ, giving credence to talk that the FM side will simulcast sister Hot AC WPLJ/NEW YORK.
