The COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM has announced that their next feature exhibition will focus on West Coast Country music. The announcement was made by MUSEUM Director KYLE YOUNG at the HALL OF FAME’s ALL FOR THE HALL LOS ANGELES fundraiser last THURSDAY (9/23).
VINCE GILL, EMMYLOU HARRIS, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, TAYLOR SWIFT and special guest LIONEL RICHIE performed a casual “guitar pull” style concert, with all proceeds going to the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM.
YOUNG said: “The exhibit will draw on our massive, one-of-a-kind archives and the mountain of material we’ve collected over the years from CALIFORNIA sources. Driven by the upcoming exhibit, we will turn our attention to greatly expanding our collection of WEST COAST artifacts so we can fully detail the richly layered narrative of this state’s musical past and present.”
The exhibit will open at the HALL OF FAME in NASHVILLE in 2012. For more info, see www.countrymusichalloffame.org.
