Opie: 'Closer' To New Deal With Sirius XM, But Nothing Signed Yet

Are OPIE AND ANTHONY close to a renewal with SIRIUS XM RADIO?  OPIE responded to rumors about an impending deal on TWITTER with a post on THURSDAY afternoon, reading, "YES we're closer to signing a new deal with SIRIUS XM. However, we have NOT and I repeat NOT signed anything as I tweet this."

O&A's contract with the satellite company is expiring FRIDAY (10/1), and their renewal has been the source of much speculation among fans.  Earlier this month, OPIE tweeted that the offer then on the table from SIRIUS XM was "a joke and an insult."
