CUMULUS' SUSQUEHANNA RADIO CORP. is selling Classic Country KGVL-A and Country KIKT (93.5 KIK-FM)/GREENVILLE, TX to HUE BEAVERS' HUNT COUNTY RADIO, LLC for $315,000 and a time brokerage agreement before closing.

MARY V. HARRIS FOUNDATION has asked the FCC for a Silent STA for WSJL/BESSEMER, AL.  The station's transmission plant was damaged by multiple lightning strikes, taking the station off the air on SEPTEMBER 2nd.

AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION has also applied for a Silent STA for KBOJ/WORTHINGTON, MN, which went dark FRIDAY (10/1) when the tower owner began to dismantle the structure.  The station is looking to find a new location.

PECONIC PUBLIC BROADCASTING has announced that it has raised sufficient funds to complete the purchase of noncommercial WLIU/SOUTHAMPTON, LONG ISLAND, NY from LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY.  PPB is paying $850,000 for the station and plans to rename it WPPB.  PECONIC's operation of WLIU before purchasing the station drew the attention of the FCC, which has reached a Consent Decree over PECONIC's unauthorized control of the station.  PECONIC is paying a "voluntary contribution" of $5,000 and LIU is also paying $5,000 to the U.S. Treasury to settle the matter.

In CANADA, BAYSHORE BROADCASTING CORP. has received approval from the CRTC to move the transmitters of its AC CIXK (MIX 106.5) and Country CKYC (COUNTRY 93)/OWEN SOUND, ON.  CIXK would decrease from 100,000 to 28,000 watts and increase height from 171.7 to 189.6 meters HAAT at the new site; CKYC would go from 31,600 to 22,000 watts and from 114.1 to 214 meters.

NEWCAP has been approved for a move of CFXG-A/GRANDE CACHE, AB from AM to FM at 93.3 MHz with 190 watts.  The station rebroadcasts Classic Hits CFXE (THE EAGLE)/EDSON, AB.

And COMMUNICATIONS CHIC has received CRTC approval to raise the power of its French Religion CHIC/ROUYN-NORANDA, QC (northwestern QUEBEC near the ONTARIO border) from 300 to 3,400 watts.
