CLEAR CHANNEL Country WYYD/LYNCHBURG-ROANOKE PD/morning co-host KENNY SHELTON tells ALL ACCESS that the station have made some changes to celebrate its 25th year. WYYD has changed its moniker from 108-WYYD to 107.9-WYYD and now has the slogan of the “widest variety of Country Music.” Along with this change, the station began its “Classic Country Weekend” in SEPTEMBER, playing Classic Country from FRIDAY to SUNDAY night.
CC sister Country KASE/AUSTIN APD/MD/middayer BOB PICKETT is now voicetracking the 7p-12a shift for WYYD. His first night is TONIGHT (10/4) and he replaces THE BIG TIME’s WHITNEY ALLEN.
