WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP announced a new LMA relationship with CUMULUS MEDIA to increase the WAY-FM presence in LOUISVILLE, KY. WAY-FM made a shift in LOUISVILLE on FRIDAY (10/1), moving to CUMULUS Classic Hits WLCL. For the next few months, WAY-FM will have two outlets in the market. In addition to WLCL, WAY-FM will also remain on WAYI (105.9), which it purchased from SALEM COMMUNICATIONS in 2008.
"This is a very exciting move for us. WLCL has full market coverage and even serves a good portion of SOUTHERN INDIANA. Now contemporary Christian music fans will be able to tune in to WAY-FM anywhere in the market as well as on their commutes to the outlying suburbs," said WAY-FM Pres. BOB AUGSBURG. Future plans for WAY-FM’s existing 105.9 outlet will be announced later this year.
Over the past few years the listeners of KENTUCKIANA have come to love WAY-FM and it's very exciting to now be able to reach all of LOUISVILLE and SOUTHERN INDIANA with a much stronger signal for our area," said GM WAY-FM/LOUISVILLE MATT HAHN.
