EMI Names Dan McCarroll President Of Capitol, Virgin Label Group

EMI has promoted senior publishing executive DAN MCCARROLL to President of CAPITOL and VIRGIN LABEL GROUP in NORTH AMERICA. Previously EVP/North American creative at EMI PUBLISHING, he'll start his new duties OCTOBER 12th.
MCCARROLL will be specifically tasked with reinvigorating the company’s creative performance in the US, and shaping a creative team that will give momentum to EMI’s global rights management agenda, and its service commitment to artists.
In his nine years at EMI MUSIC PUBLISHING, MCCARROLL has signed and worked with a series of successful artists and songwriters, including JOHN MELLENCAMP, COBRA STARSHIP, TRAVIE MCCOY, TOBY GAD, STEVE MCEWAN, DAVID HODGES, ALTER BRIDGE, DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, BUTCH WALKER and PANIC AT THE DISCO.
"DAN has an unswerving commitment to putting the artists and repertoire back into A&R," ROGER FAXON said. "He has demonstrated a phenomenal ability to work in partnership with artistic talent in order to create positive outcomes for the people he represents. It is this passion and commitment that makes DAN stand out, and that will make him such a success in this new role.
