The Recording Academy To Pay Tribute To Loretta Lynn Tonight

Country great LORETTA LYNN will be honored TONIGHT (10/12) at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE for THE RECORDING ACADEMY’s “GRAMMY Salute To Country Music, Honoring LORETTA LYNN, Presented by MASTERCARD.” Artists on the bill that will perform tributes to LYNN include GARTH BROOKS, KID ROCK, MARTINA McBRIDE, GRETCHEN WILSON, LEE ANN WOMACK and host REBA McENTIRE.

Also appearing this evening will be RECORDING ACADEMY President/CEO NEIL PORTNOW, RECORDING ACADEMY Chair GEORGE J. FLANIGEN IV and musician/producer JACK WHITE. The event will include a special presentation of THE RECORDING ACADEMY PRESIDENT’S MERIT AWARD to LYNN “in honor of her dynamic career and contributions to Country music.” Earlier this year, she was given a RECORDING ACADEMY LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.
