WAY-FM MEDIA INC and COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL have announced the signing of an extensive annual partnership. The agreement covers joint ministry efforts whereby the two organizations will share various marketing opportunities and strategies.
The partnership will include WAY-FM air personalities BRANT HANSEN of "MORNINGS WITH BRANT" and WALLY of "TOTAL AXXESS" visiting HAITI on the one-year anniversary of the JANUARY 12th earthquake to observe the field work COMPASSION has done in that ravaged country. This visit will give them a unique perspective when discussing child sponsorships during a focused on-air fundraising event. A national concert tour will also be an element of the joint partnership. The tour will run in the SPRING of 2011 and will visit 10 to 12 of the markets WAY-FM serves.
“COMPASSION is thrilled to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with WAY-FM in speaking up for children in poverty. I’m excited to see what the Lord will do through this partnership. We are confident that the joint efforts of COMPASSION, the dedicated staff of WAY-FM and their listeners will produce eternal results," said COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL President/CEO WESS STAFFORD.
"I am thrilled that all the WAY-FM stations are working side by side with COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL this year. I have been with WESS STAFFORD on a COMPASSION field trip before to see their work up close and it is amazing to witness firsthand the impact that sponsorship has on a child in developing countries through COMPASSION," said WAY-FM President/Founder BOB AUGSBURG.
“WAY-FM has had a great relationship with COMPASSION for many years. This extensive partnership is exciting because it gives both organizations an opportunity to really focus on raising the awareness of the other’s ministry to their constituencies," said WAY-FM COO LLOYD PARKER.
