Former Station Owner, NAB Radio Board Chairman Martin Beck Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former station owner, sales executive, and NAB Radio Board Chairman MARTIN BECK, who died YESTERDAY (10/21) at 93.

BECK served as President of KATZ RADIO before partnering with GEORGE ROSS in station group BECK-ROSS COMMUNICATIONS, which launched with WBLI/LONG ISLAND; he later owned stations in VERMONT and KENTUCKY with JIM CHAMPLIN.  He won the NAB's National Radio Award in 1992 and was inducted into the NEW YORK STATE BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION Hall of Fame in 2005.
