The Trustees of MOUNT HOLYOKE COLLEGE have been fined $7,000 for a late license renewal application and subsequent unauthorized operation at noncommercial WMHC/SOUTH HADLEY, MA. The school filed its renewal 10 months late, saying that the students who run the station were unaware of the deadline and had not received notice of the renewal date.
The Commission also issued Notices of Unlicensed Operation to a pair of alleged pirate station operators in SIOUX FALLS, SD (BRADLEY M. HEGGESETH, 1640 AM; CHESLEY H, CAIN, 1610 AM), and proposed a $10,000 fine against VICOT CHERY of SPRING VALLEY, NY for a pirate operation on 90.5 FM, which he told agents he allowed a friend he would not identify to install at his P.C. TAXI business.
