Condolences to family and friends of former CATHOLIC BISHOP OF NORTHERN ALASKA noncommercial Religion KNOM-A-F/NOME, AK founding Chief Engineer and longtime GM TOM BUSCH, who died MONDAY at 63, according to the ASSOCIATED PRESS. He also worked at WRYT-A (now WROL-A)/BOSTON, WLDB-A (now WBSS-A)/ATLANTIC CITY, and KIAK-A/FAIRBANKS and served as GM at KNOM from 1975 through 2005, stepping down to concentrate on fundraising.
BUSCH served as President and Secretary of the ALASKA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION and was inducted into the group's Hall of Fame in 1998.
