WEQX Announces 26th Anniversary Celebration

NORTHSHIRE COMMUNICATIONS Alternative WEQX/MANCHESTER, VT-ALBANY, NY will officially celebrate its 26th Anniversary as an independently owned-and-operated Alternative station on SUNDAY NOVEMBER 14th. EQX kicks off its celebration with an A-Z alphabetical on-air retrospective during the week of NOVEMBER 8th, digging deep into the musical heritage and archives of the station. It will also include artist interviews, guests and other special programming elements.
The celebration will culminate with the "EQX 26TH BIRTHDAY BASH" and benefit concert on SATURDAY NOVEMBER 13th at NORTHERN LIGHTS headlined by DELUKA, along with local artists TRAVIS GRAY (SARATOGA SPRINGS), TEN YEAR VAMP (ALBANY), THE VELMAS (ALBANY, LUNIC (ALBANY), PHILLIPS HEAD featuring WEQX MD JASON IRWIN (GLENS FALLS). Each band will be performing a set of their favorite EQX songs of the last 26 years and a set of originals.
Admission for the event will be a suggested $5 donation at the door, with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the VERMONT FOODBANK AND THE REGIONAL FOOD BANK OF NORTHEASTERN NEW YORK.
