Condolences to family, friends, and fans of Baseball Hall of Famer SPARKY ANDERSON, who died TODAY (11/4) in THOUSAND OAKS, CA after a battle with dementia.
Best known as the white-haired manager of the CINCINNATI REDS and DETROIT TIGERS and winner of three WORLD SERIES, ANDERSON worked in broadcasting, paired with VIN SCULLY (1979-82) and JACK BUCK (1983, 1985-86) on CBS RADIO's WORLD SERIES coverage. He also handled analysis on ANAHEIM ANGELS cable television broadcasts for FOX SPORTS WEST in 1996-98.
