Last night, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd, LOS ANGELES based disc jockey and businessman, ART LABOE joined the largest gathering of HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME honorees as the HOLLYWOOD Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Walk of Fame. LABOE reminisced with stars and honorees of radio (including KLOS personality JIM LADD, KROQ personality RODNEY BINGENHEIMER and CHARLIE TUNA), television (including BOB BARKER, WINK MARTINDALE, LEEZA GIBBONS, CONNIE STEVENS, JACK LALANNE and DAVID HASSELHOFF), motion pictures (TIPPI HEDREN), recording (MIKE CURB, NANCY SINATRA and members of THE MIRACLES: CLAUDETTE ROBINSON and BOBBY ROGERS) in a ceremony that included a time capsule dedication across the street from ART LABOE's star on the corner of HOLLYWOOD and HIGHLAND.
Said LABOE, "It's so exciting, this is a big deal, the 50th anniversary. I've been meeting so many people I haven't seen in a long time. As well as people I admired when I was just a kid. I'm one of those people that someday hoped to be successful and now I've got a star on the WALK OF FAME, right here at HOLLYWOOD and HIGHLAND on the southwest corner. When I got it in 1981, this was not a special corner. It's a thrill to be here today celebrating with the HOLLYWOOD Chamber of Commerce."
