HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WCTY/NEW LONDON-NORWICH, CT collected over 24,000 pounds of food at the 12th annual WCTY FOOD DRIVE to benefit the THAMES VALLEY COUNCIL FOR COMMUNITY ACTION, INC. (TVCCA) of EASTERN CONNECTICUT and the GEMMA MORAN FOOD BANK. Along with the food, and hundreds of frozen turkeys, thousands of dollars was collected, as well.
PD/afternoon drive host DAVID ELDER tells ALL ACCESS that this was the most food collected ever by their food drives. US FOODS made a large donation of food and the MOHEGAN SUN and ARISTA/NASHVILLE artist BRAD PAISLEY gave meet and greet passes to help out as well.
