Hillary Scott Big Winner At SESAC Awards

SESAC gave out its 2010 Awards last night (11/9) in NASHVILLE, with HILLARY SCOTT of the CAPITOL RECORDS group LADY ANTEBELLUM a big winner, picking up “Song of the Year,” for “Need You Now,” and also winning the “Songwriter of the Year,” Award. LADY A also performed at the event. SCOTT was presented a handcrafted GIBSON guitar from SESAC VP TIM FINK.
Other top winners included EMI FORAY MUSIC, which was named Publisher of the Year, and JIM LAUDERDALE, who was presented with SESAC’s “Inspiration Award” for his work with artists in a wide range of genres and songs cut by many of country music’s biggest stars. Collaborators ELVIS COSTELLO and RALPH STANLEY sent video congratulations to LAUDERDALE.
