Facebook To Sue WFNX Owner Over Patent Rights

Social networking king FACEBOOK is suing PHOENIX MEDIA/COMMUNICATIONS, which owns Alternative WFNX/BOSTON and THE BOSTON PHOENIX newspaper, "for allegedly infringing on two patents that it says help the media company manage content online," reports THE BOSTON GLOBE. FACEBOOK alleges PHOENIX is "using features such as guides for bands and eateries on the newspaper’s website and an online music player at the radio station that infringe on patents."

Just one year ago, PHOENIX MEDIA filed a suit against FACEBOOK, complaining that they violated a patent related to setting up online personal profile pages.
