WDJX Tells Bieber Fans 'Beat It'

MAIN LINE Top 40 WDJX (99.7 WDJX)/LOUISVILLE fell victim to "BIEBER Fever" in anticipation of the singer's upcoming show TONIGHT (11/10) at the KFC YUM! CENTER.

For the past week, listeners have been invited to sign up on the station's website for a chance to play "BEAT YOUR BIEBER" and grab a grand prize of front-row seats, backstage passes and a guitar autographed by JUSTIN.  Five persons were chosen to join the wake-up team of BEN DAVIS & KELLY K this morning at the city's 4TH STREET LIVE, where each contestant was presented with a baseball bat (a LOUISVILLE SLUGGER, of course), a piñata festooned with BIEBER'S smiling face, and instructions to 'start swinging'!

Only one piñata contained the grand prize, but the remaining participants received tickets to the show and a personalized SLUGGER inscribed, "I Beat My BIEBER On 99.7 ‘DJX"!  The fun was covered by three local TV news outlets.

PD/morning host BEN DAVIS made sure to point out, "WDJX does not condone violence against people, animals or JUSTIN BIEBER ... just piñatas."
