The 44th Annual CMA AWARDS show is now in the history books. "Country's Biggest Night," as it is called, was broadcast on ABC-TV "live" from NASHVILLE's BRIDGESTONE ARENA last night (11/10).
The night's biggest winners included COLUMBIA RECORDS artist MIRANDA LAMBERT, who picked up three awards to celebrate her birthday, including the trophy for "Female Vocalist."
CURB RECORDS artist TIM McGRAW walked onstage at the closing of the show to hand out the coveted "Entertainer of the Year," award which went to BRAD PAISLEY, who co-hosted the show along with ARISTA RECORDS label-mate CARRIE UNDERWOOD: "I want to talk to the fans. It sounds like a cliche when you say thanks to the fans, but the great thing about Country fans is when you say, 'fans.' I don't even mean mine. You guys are loyal to everyone in this room. It's the most amazing loyal fanbase in the world," said PAISLEY.BRAD PAISLEY didn't leave the stage before giving a heartfelt thanks to Country radio, who he said that without, he would never be standing there.
