SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY men's basketball is returning to BONNEVILLE Sports WXOS (101 ESPN)/ST. LOUIS for the next three seasons, the school and station announced WEDNESDAY. BOB RAMSEY and EARL AUSTIN JR. return to call the action; the station will also air a 20-minute pre-game show and 25-minute post-game show, and coach RICK MAJERUS will appear weekly on BERNIE MIKLASZ's show starting in JANUARY.
"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with 101 ESPN," the school's Director of Athletics CHRIS MAY said. "Led by GM JOHN KIJOWSKI, 101 ESPN has established itself as the leader in sports talk in the ST. LOUIS marketplace. Our association with the station will provide great exposure for the University and BILLIKEN athletics alike. 101 ESPN's 100,000-watt FM signal, in addition to its online presence, provide multiple platforms for our fans across the country to follow the BILLIKENS. Also, we're proud that BILLIKEN fans will be able to enjoy BOB RAMSEY's energetic calls as well as EARL AUSTIN's insightful analysis."
"101 ESPN is pleased about our contract extension with SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY and BILLIKEN men's basketball," said KIJOWSKI. "This partnership has been a good one for BONNEVILLE ST. LOUIS and 101 ESPN, and we're excited about the upcoming seasons of BILLIKEN basketball."
"We couldn't be more enthusiastic about extending the partnership with SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY, and that both BOB RAMSEY and EARL AUSTIN JR. will continue in their roles with the BILLIKEN basketball organization," 101 ESPN PD JASON BARRETT added. "As the leading source for sports radio in ST. LOUIS, we feel it is very important to be able to bring our local `hometown' college basketball games to the ST. LOUIS listening audience."
