The network ratings are in, and ABC-TV won the night last night (11/10) with its live broadcast of the 44th Annual CMA AWARDS, with an estimated 33.8 million viewers tuning in for at least some portion of the show.
ABC beat out its nearest competition (CBS) by 5.8 million viewers and by 74% in Adults 18-49 (CBS and FOX tied). It was the best Adult 18-49 number on any night this season and it was the top non-sports rating for any evening on any night this season.
The CMA AWARDS retained 96% of its overall audience from last year (16.5 million vs. 17.2 million) with its second most watched telecast since 2005. It posted the highest Men 18-34 numbers in four years and its best numbers with Children 2-11 in five years, since 2006 and 2005, respectively.
