PHOENIX MEDIA/COMMUNICATIONS Alternative WFNX/BOSTON VP/Broadcast Operations MIKE TIERNEY will exit after "THE WFNX MIRACLE ON TREMONT STREET" show on DECEMBER 2nd (featuring BROKEN BELLS, NEON TREES, RA RA RIOT, and ATOMIC TOM) to explore opportunities where he can be closer to his wife, TARA, who splits time in LONDON and NEW YORK. Reach out to TIERNEY at thatmiketierney@gmail.com.
PHOENIX MEDIA/COMMUNICATIONS Pres. BRAD MINDICH said, "MIKE came here in the FALL of 2009 and made a number of significant changes which, despite a lot of shock and concern at the time, ultimately stabilized and strengthened the station. And when all was said and done, the station sounds better, runs better and has grown ... and we have new signature events and programming like the AMES SESSIONS, CLAMBAKE, A.D.D WEEKENDS and several others which bring us new listeners and a lot more attention in the market, which is exactly what we needed. MIKE also leaves the station with a lot of people there who, by MIKE's own admission, have done an amazing job over the last year and are clearly capable of growing the station even more.
MIKE will will help consult and guide us with our global search for a new head of FNX who will, undoubtedly, continue our momentum and growth."
MINDICH indicated he is looking for someone who is experienced, creative, inclusive, passionate about the music, gets who we are and what we do, knows how to manage and lead and can get things done. Send your resume to HR Manager STEPHEN ROSE at Srose@phx.com.
