STUBHUB, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, announced TODAY (11/16) that it will donate all profits from secondary ticket sales to next month’s series of GARTH BROOKS concerts in NASHVILLE to the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE. STUBHUB will not profit from any ticket sales to the event.
“We strive to provide a first-in-class experience for our fans and have chosen to donate our profits from GARTH tickets to THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE for this event, rather than removing ticket listings and turning fans away,” STUBHUB Pres. CHRIS TSAKALAKIS said. “In keeping with the original intent of the concert, we want to be sure that any STUBHUB profits from GARTH BROOKS’ show go directly to TENNESSEE families.”
BROOKS’ charity concerts will be held on DECEMBER 16th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd at BRIDGESTONE ARENA in NASHVILLE, TN. To date, the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE has already awarded $5.43 million in flood relief grants and allocations to more than 100 organizations providing flood recovery services. STUBHUB’s donation will be included in grants to local nonprofit organizations that are working to rebuild MIDDLE TENNESSEE after MAY’s floods.
