ONE GOLD RADIO AC/Classic Hits TOTAL STAR/BATH, ENGLAND's license is being re-advertised for new applicants by U.K. radio regulator OFCOM. The existing license expired on SUNDAY (11/14); the former BATH FM has been owned by five entities in two years, and was one of three TOTAL STAR NETWORK stations found in breach of its license conditions for local news in OCTOBER.
Applications are due by 3p on MARCH 1st, 2011. The 107.9 FM facility (100 watts from a BATHAMPTON tower owned by ARQIVA, although applicants can propose a different facility) covers BATH and the surrounding area but OFCOM warns that the signal is "not intended to serve any of BRISTOL, CHIPPENHAM or TROWBRIDGE, and applicants should note that OFCOM will not approve any transmission proposals that would deliver significant signals into these population centres."
