CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO's TAMPA BAY Market Manager DANIEL DILORETO is retiring from his post, effective DECEMBER 31st. DILORETO was named Market Manager at Active Rock WXTB (98ROCK) in 1987 and later added the same responsibilities for Top 40 WFLZ, Hot AC WMTX (MIX 100.7), Talk WFLA-A, Sports WDAE-A (THE SPORTS ANIMAL), and Talk WHNZ-A. The company has launched a search for DILORETO's replacement.
"DAN's been a valuable member of our team for more than a decade as well as a mentor and friend to many of us," said TOM SCHURR, EVPO/Eastern Region. "He's been a driving force not only at CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO but across the radio industry. We want to thank him for his contributions to CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO and wish him the best in his retirement."
"As much as I have enjoyed the journey in radio over the years, it's time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life and spend some time with my two wonderful grandchildren," said DILORETO, who served as GSM at COX RADIO in MIAMI, GM at WLYF/MIAMI, and COO of SWANSON BROACASTING in TULSA before joining WXTB. "I am truly grateful to have been a part of the radio industry for more than 40 years, and to CLEAR CHANNEL for giving me the opportunity to do something that was my passion."
