RADIO DISNEY is selling another of its AM stations, with WDZK-A/BLOOMFIELD-HARTFORD, CT going to BLOUNT COMMUNICATIONS for $500,000. BILL SCHUTZ represented DISNEY and JOHN PIERCE represented BLOUNT in the deal, which has yet to be filed with the FCC.
In a deal filed with the FCC, THE EMPTY SPACE is selling the construction permit for noncommercial KSVG/METTLER, CA to KERN COMMUNITY RADIO, INC. for $1.
In another deal filed with the FCC, KASKASKIA BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translator W298BF/CHARLESTON, IL to EASTERN ILLINOIS CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING, INC. for $10,000. The buyer plans to co-locate the station with its Southern Gospel WEIC-A/CHARLESTON, IL and will use the FM translator to rebroadcast the AM.
And BIG TOE COMMUNICATIONS LLC has closed on its purchase of four PEORIA stations -- Classic Hits WHPI (HIPPIE RADIO 101.1)/GLASFORD, IL, Sports WZPN (965 ESPN RADIO)/FARMINGTON, IL, Top 40 WPIA (98.5 KISS FM)/EUREKA, IL, and Triple A WWCT/BENTONVILLE, IL -- from INDEPENDENCE MEDIA HOLDINGS LLC for $1 million plus an LMA before closing.
