Condolences to family and friends of former KMPC-A and KABC-A/LOS ANGELES newsman BOB KHOLOS, who died OCTOBER 12th in EUGENE, OR after a battle with cancer at 67, according to the LOS ANGELES TIMES, which reported his passing FRIDAY (11/19).
After working in radio in the 1960s and serving in VIETNAM in 1966-67, KHOLOS moved into politics and became TOM BRADLEY's press secretary for BRADLEY's unsuccessful 1969 LOS ANGELES mayoral bid, then became media director for BRADLEY's successful 1973 campaign for Mayor and served as BRADLEY's first press secretary in office. He also worked on several Democratic political campaigns and most recently wrote a blog about politics, with the final entry on SEPTEMBER 27th of this year.
