Former TRIBUNE INTERACTIVE SVP/COO JEFF KAPUGI (NET NEWS 11/2) has returned to his radio programming roots as he's been tapped as the PD for CBS Hot AC KYKY (KY98) and AC KEZK/ST. LOUIS. He's replacing MARK EDWARDS who recently joined KUDL & KEGX (NET NEWS 10/28).
KAPUGI, who was previously CLEAR CHANNEL RVPP/DC & BALTIMORE and PD at Top 40 WIHT (HOT 99.5)/WASHINGTON before joining TRIBUNE, told ALL ACCESS, "It's great to be working with the CBS team in ST. LOUIS, Market Mgr. JOHN SHEEHAN, and the CBS Programming team (SVPP) GREG STRASELL, (VP/AC Programming) JIM RYAN and (VP Hot AC Programming) STEVE SALHANY. I am so looking forward to getting to it and helping take these two brands to even bigger levels of success."
And, KAPUGI is no stranger to ST. LOUIS as he was OM/PD at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KSLZ and Classic Hits KLOU, and held the same duties at sister CC/TAMPA outlets Top 40 WFLZ, Hot AC WMTX, Urban WBTP, and former CC now COX B/EZ formatted WDUV.
SVP/Market Mgr. JOHN SHEEHAN said, "JEFF is one of the great programmers in radio. He will be a great addition to our team in ST. LOUIS and to CBS RADIO overall. Our philosophies match up very well and I look forward to winning together."
