Citadel Sues Renda Over 'BOB-FM'

CITADEL BROADCASTING has sued RENDA BROADCASTING over a trademark infringement associated with the Adult Hits format known as BOB. BUSINESSWEEK reports CITADEL accused RENDA of using its BOB trademarks for stations that compete for listeners and advertisers in OKLAHOMA.
In the suit, LAS VEGAS-based CITADEL, which owns KQOB (96.9 BOB-FM,)/OKLAHOMA CITY, alleged that RENDA has been using the trademarks BOB, BOB FM and "Turn Your Knob to BOB" for its KBEZ (92.9 BOB-FM)/TULSA.
