CONNOISSEUR MEDIA, LLC won't be signing on KGGG/PACIFIC JUNCTION, IA-OMAHA after all, as the FCC has deleted the permit and allocation.
CONNOISSEUR was building the station and readying the facility to go on the air when it discovered that the FAA "had previously imposed a condition on the tower owner to coordinate any new frequencies on the tower with the FAA." The FAA only noticed KGGG's proposed use of the tower when the tower was sold, and issued a Notice of Presumed Hazard objecting to the station's operation due to predicted interference with the Instrument Landing System frequencies for EPPLEY AIRFIELD and OFFUTT AFB, for which replacement frequencies were not available. Since no alternate frequencies or locations could be found for KGGG, the Commission deleted the allocation with CONNOISSEUR's support.
