Five BBC local radio stations in YORKSHIRE and ENGLAND's southeast will share shows as a six-month experiment to save money, reports THE GUARDIAN.
In the trial, BBC RADIO LEEDS, BBC RADIO YORK, and BBC RADIO SHEFFIELD will simulcast LIZ GREEN's noon-2p show from the LEEDS station, while BBC RADIO KENT and BBC SUSSEX AND SURREY will air DOMINIC KING's 4-7p show, based at the KENT station. Savings from the trial will be applied to the stations' breakfast and mid-morning shows.
