BORDER MEDIA Talk KXBT (98.9 THE BIG TALKER)/AUSTIN is revamping its lineup, moving local afternoon host SEAN RIMA to mornings, replacing PREMIERE's BOB AND TOM, and making a series of other changes to the weekday schedule.
The new lineup adds COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS' TODD SCHNITT for 3-5p, with CITADEL's MARK LEVIN moving up from 7-10p to 4-7p, filling RIMA's old slot. The syndicated DAVE RAMSEY show moves up from 1-4p to noon-3p, filling the noon-1p hour formerly hosted by ROBERT REES, who recently exited.
RIMA said, "I'm excited for this opportunity and ready for the challenge. I've met so many great listeners during my first year in AUSTIN, and as the station has grown, it's been clear to me that moving to morning drive will help 98.9 THE BIG TALKER reach its fullest potential."
PD JEFF WOLF added, "We are excited to have a live, local morning show on 98.9 THE BIG TALKER, hosted by AUSTIN favorite SEAN RIMA. SEAN's engaging personality, along with enhanced local news plus traffic and weather together every 15 minutes in the morning will clearly help AUSTIN listeners get their day started. It also gives them a place to sound off and interact on their way to work."
