AARON LEWIS of the Rock band STAIND will release a five-song Country CD called “Town Line” on STROUDAVARIOUS RECORDS in FEBRUARY 2011. His first single will be called “Country Boy,” featuring GEORGE JONES, CHARLIE DANIELS and CHRIS YOUNG. The video is set to premiere on CMT.com TOMORROW (12/1) and will debut on the CMT TV network MONDAY (12/6).
The single will be available on iTUNES and other digital music retailers TUESDAY (12/7).
LEWIS said: "Country was the background music to my childhood. My grandfather listened to MERLE HAGGARD, HANK WILLIAMS, HANK WILLIAMS JR. and all of the greats. When STAIND did our first tour with KID ROCK in 1999, I rode the bus with him on a couple occasions and we bonded over this music. I haven't been able to let go of it since then."
AARON said of the bond between him and producer JAMES STROUD: "A lifetime friendship was formed between JAMES and I while we were doing these songs. As the head of the label and producer, he possessed an incredible amount of faith and belief in this project. It just made sense on so many levels."
STROUD added: "We just immediately developed a very intense musical and personal connection. I'd always loved the expressiveness and intensity of AARON's voice, but from the very first day in the studio, we hit it off in an entirely special way."
