CBS RADIO Country WDSY (Y108)/PITTSBURGH will welcome a WORLD WAR II hero and two area WOUNDED WARRIORS, along with dozens of military guests who have been invited to watch ATLANTIC/SOUTHERN GROUND/BIGGER PICTURE’s ZAC BROWN BAND, BIGGER PICTURE artist CRAIG CAMPBELL and local Country band THE STICKERS at the station’s sold out “Soldier Salute” concert. The show will be held TOMORROW night (12/4) at 7p (ET) at the PEPSI ROADHOUSE in BURGETTSTOWN.
Y108 morning co-hosts MONTY and ZEKE will be on hand to salute WWII veteran CLARENCE BROCKMAN, who helped discover and liberate the BUCHENWALD concentration camp, as well as the two WOUNDED WARRIORS, MARINE Lance Corporal CHRISTOPHER MORRIS, who suffered severe spinal injuries from an explosion in IRAQ, and young ARMY veteran JEREMY JACKSON, who was medically discharged after he was shot through the arm by a sniper in IRAQ. JACKSON is currently in the process of re-enlisting.
All proceeds from the concert will benefit OPERATION TROOP APPRECIATION, a PITTSBURGH-based charity that supplies necessities and creature comforts to U.S. ARMED FORCES serving overseas. To date, the organization has assisted over 70,000 AMERICAN troops abroad.
