The FCC has rescheduled its FM Auction 91 to start APRIL 27th. The auction will offer 144 construction permits, including 37 unsold holdovers from Auction 79. Three CPs originally scheduled for the auction, two -- at TUBA CITY, AZ and UNION GAP, WA -- are not vacant, and the other, at ENNIS, MT, was inadvertently listed twice. The Commission also rejected MULLANEY ENGINEERING's proposal to have allocations that don't receive bids, saying that the proposal is beyond the scope of the proceeding.
Allocations with an opening bid set at $100,000 include stations at BETHEL and PALNER, AK; COACHELLA and WATERFORD, CA; DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, FL; FERRYSBURG, MI; and LAWRENCE PARK, PA. During the auction's Form 175 application filing window, the Commission's Media Bureau will not accept FM minor change applications; the window will open JANUARY 31st and close on FEBRUARY 10th.
