Condolences to family and friends of longtime MOBILE, AL radio personality SCOTT O'BRIEN, who died SATURDAY (12/11) of cancer in DAPHNE, AL at 61.
Most recently at DOT COM PLUS Sports WNSP, O'BRIEN (real name ROBERT S. GRIFFITH) was the son of the late PENSACOLA sportscaster DON GRIFFITH. He had worked in the MOBILE market since 1975, doing stints at WABB, WKRG-F (G100), WKSJ, WNTM-A (NEWS RADIO 710), WZEW, and, finally, WNSP, where he had worked since 2008. O'BRIEN also served as public address announcer at UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA football and basketball, the SENIOR BOWL, and other local sporting events.
