HARVARD Top 40 CFWD (WIRED 96.3)/SASKATOON, SK morning co-host RYDER has generated complaints to The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council for getting high on the air with a hallucinogenic herb, a move he said was intended to show the dangers of the drug, reports THE CBC. RYDER "lit up and smoked the drug salvia on his THURSDAY morning show on WIRED 96.3 FM. He said he got the idea after a YOUTUBE video of actress MILEY CYRUS emerged showing the singer smoking it."
"I wanted, needed to show people that it wasn't just a fun party drug, that it was actually very serious," he said.
RYDER told THE CBC he won't smoke it again, and insisted he's actually pushing to have salvia outlawed
"I didn't have fun," he said. "If that's the perception some people are getting when they watch the video, they are wrong."
