So how does one go about replacing the ledgendary GERRY HOUSE who recently retired from CLEAR CHANNEL Country WSIX (BIG 98 COUNTRY)/NASHVILLE? PD KEITH KAUFMAN told ALL ACCESS, "We've always talked about who will 'replace' GERRY. The answer, of course, is no one."
But life after HOUSE will go on, and WSIX will combine BILLY GREENWOOD, who has moved back to NASHVILLE from sister Country KSD/ST. LOUIS and KARLA LAWSON, who has reported traffic for CLEAR CHANNEL/NASHVILLE since 2001, to handle mornings beginning JANUARY 3rd.
Said KAUFMAN, "ZAK BECKER will produce. That leaves a huge hole between 10 and 3. Thrilled to announce that market veteran DEAN WARFIELD will return to BIG 98 COUNTRY as the midday host. For 10 years DEAN hosted and co-hosted our award winning afternoon show. During that time he also hosted nationally syndicated 'Country’s Most Wanted' and 'Country Live Tonight.'"
"This is a critical time." added KAUFMAN. "I believe that these moves are the most comfortable for the listener. The team is already in-house. We're all very excited as we begin this new chapter at WSIX."
