Report: Apple To Unleash Verizon iPhone Very Soon

A report in BLOOMBERG/BUSINESSWEEK predicts that APPLE will introduce an iPHONE for use on VERIZON's network "sometime after the CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW in LAS VEGAS in early JANUARY, according to a person familiar with APPLE's plans." Also, APPLE has normally held its own new product showcase before the CES in JANUARY of every year.

Should VERIZON get its own iPHONE, analysts predict anywhere from 1 to 6 million AT&T users will switch to VERIZON. UBS SECURITIES analyst JOHN HODULIK predicts that VERIZON will sell 13.3 million iPHONES, 10 million of them current customers, about 2.3 million will be AT&T refugees, and the rest will come from other carriers.
