Shareholders of XM CANADA parent CANADIAN SATELLITE RADIO HOLDINGS voted to approve the company's merger with SIRIUS CANADA in FEBRUARY (NET NEWS 2/18). The deal was initially announced in NOVEMBER.
Now, the CRTC, CANADA's federal broadcast regulator, has OK'd the deal. The commission also gave a one-year licence renewal to the services.
The two services will now be owned by CANADIAN SATELLITE RADIO HOLDINGS INC.
