The PROMETHEUS RADIO PROJECT has filed 70 pages of reply comments in the FCC's LPFM proceeding asserting that the Commission "has more than adequate record to determine a new balance between translator stations and locally originating LPFMs. And contrary to the assertions of some in this proceeding, the FCC has more than adequate regulatory authority to give low power stations more options when faced with encroachment.... We call upon the FCC to move forward with these proposals to improve the availability and stability of the low power radio service." The comments deal with giving LPFM displacement relief when full-power signals encroach on their coverage areas.
PROMETHEUS is also among several groups asking the FCC to continue its translator freeze and postpone its Translator Auction No. 83 while the LPFM proceeding continues.
